In this troubled world lives the so-called Tech Trash. They are a group of misfits, illegal people and a robot who struggle every day to survive.

CRISIS AND WARS AROUND THE WORLD

After the worldwide automation of work, the Great Labor Crisis began. Then despair, famine, and war followed. Chaos became the rule.

The companies that successfully integrated the new technologies were reorganized into corporations and their owners became the primary market for their products. The Corporations produced every service, product and luxury article that this elite needed and desired in order to have extravagant lives in their new country: the Norden Islands.

OLD VALUES, NEW SOCIETY

In the Northern Islands live the elite who own the world. It is a fortress where the wealthy few live luxurious lives. Having human employees is another one of these luxuries.

An employee's permission to live on the Islands is conditional on his work: the moment the boss loses interest in him, the employee is fired and becomes illegal.
